My eyes are running, nose itching, throat throbbing... Will have flared up old asthma by tomorrow. I'm in by myself trying to cure hayfever with dark chocolate. It isn't working.

Don't suppose anybody's got a miracle cure?

I know a few people who suffer from it quite badly and they reckon the only decent solution is some injection or other you can get from the doctors but it doesnt last all that long I dont think, so it could be an expensive temporary cure. Check it out though.

I saw an elsebound train, on the overpass
In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.

My lad used to have asthma attacks (minor) daily but the doctor put him on Singulair and a puff of Pulmicort each night and he's not had a sign of asthma since.

I get hayfever and pet allergies, zyrtec work for me...of course all these drugs are probably banned in the U.K...America will pump us full of any old shite the money grabbing pharmaceutical company can lobby past the FDA.

I used to take stuff for asthma (they put me on steroids for a week once - that was bad) but I've been taken off it now because I'm alright except when everybody around me suddenly takes it upon themselves to cut their grass.

I've been lucky to never suffer from this, but my heart goes out to the poor souls who aren't as fortunate. Get well soon DisneyTime.

Try Oil of Olbas on your pillow and night - that seems to help you breath and feel less crap - judging by the weather in Sheffield it won't be a problem for us as the gloom is setting in........

Had it since childhood, can be miserable but the drugs do usually work..

Ray Davies has a good lyric on the subject

Sitting by my stereo all alone
My baby calls me on the telephone
She says, Baby take me out for a dance
I tell my baby I feel so bad
I can't go out and it's making me sad
But when you see me, I know you will understand

I got hay fever, blocking up my head
Hay fever, I ought to be in bed
How can I dance when I can hardly breathe
Wish I could cure this infernal allergy
I got hay fever blocking up my brain
Hay fever, feel the sinus pains
And all the pills and the powders are in vain
Thought I was cured but here it comes again
It goes ooh-ah

The pollen count's getting higher and higher
My eyes are sore and my nose is on fire
My throat's dry now and I'm starting to perspire
My stuffed up head's killing all of my desire
I got hay fever, you wicked allergy
Hay fever, you put the curse on me
And I've inhaled every know remedy

I can't stay cool 'cos I'm starting to sneeze
I can't make love when I can't hardly breathe
We start to dance and my nose starts to bleed
There must be a cure for this hay fever
Is there a pill or a powder I can take
I must get a cure, my romance is at stake

Hay fever, you tore my image down
Hay fever, I must look like a clown
I must have used every tissue in town
I'm running round sniffin' like a hound
I go ooh-ah

I wanna kiss but I'm sneezin' instead
I can't make love when my head feels like lead
How can I pose when my nose is all red
We should be home, should be tucked up in bed
But I got hay fever
Hay Fever

Hay Fever
Hay Fever
Hay Fever

:*: That's brilliant. I'm going to the doctor's later on hoping to be prescribed said little tablets. In the meantime, stuck at home with the windows shut (how often does the man next door really have to cut his grass!?) drinking orange juice and feeling sorry for myself.

Well hope you manage to get them!

I just get watery, sore and itchy eyes so take the odd anti-histamine but I feel very sorry for the people who have respiratory problems at this time of the year................ :?

Feeling for you disneytime. Was blighted by 'hayfever' for years, had to have loads of injections for allegies to grass, trees, cats, dust and more. Seems you grow out of it, lasts a couple of decades so you should be clear in what another 10 years. Richard however has c.17 years of misery to come!
