Tribute to Neil Diamond paid both verbally and vocally by Elvis on his 1970 'On Stage' album. That's always been good enough recommendation for me.

Elvis did a good version of "Sweet Caroline", pity he did`nt record more of ND early stuff as it would have really suited him.

I've been a Neil Diamond fan for years - my favourite albums are his Movies album and Twelve Songs. I saw him live in Manchester about five years back and he was amazing. It was an expensive gig but worth every pound; the guy is so polished and professional and so talented, but very warm to his audience .... hmmm, do we know anyone else like that? :wink:

Hey Jan, I was there too, he had Nerina Pallot as support. It was a great night. I certainly can't afford to go and see him on his current tour. :( I love 12 songs but his songs on the Hot August Night album are my favourites.

Strangely a couple of years ago my Hubby had some music on in the front room and I asked him if he was listening to Neil Diamond. He was actually listening to Richard Hawley.
