it's indicative of the shite that gets posted on this board....its supposed to be of general interest and instead you all talk about 'not' going out, and relay the conversations you have with your hairdressers...im sorry but i think some of you are boring cunts with no life and you need to think about what you post rather than your post count........

Hey Marie! Welcome Back :D
(BTW - the hairdresser conversation WAS posted in Tedium Corner. If your life isn't as tedious as ours, don't read it )

sorry marie, but that is just plain offensive.

yes, some people may be boring to you, but that does not necessarily make them a cunt and nor should they have to be subjected to such abuse, we all know people we disagree with so why not just ignore them, rather than specifically coming on the forum seemingly to tell them they are cunts according to YOU?

this forum has a lot of different people on it, which is surely the most important thing about the forum, how we're all here from the starting point of RH's music, and threads naturally progress onto widely different topics from that starting point. I personally don't consider this thread "shite" - i consider threads about monkey porn et al to be "shite" and immature, but i respect the right of people to post in them if they wish and do not automatically consider them to be cunts just because their views differ from mine somewhat.

Being a peace-loving, and probably boring, old fart, I usually try and stay out of stuff like this, but I have to say - WELL SAID, LUKE :thumright:

Marie - enough already. You come back onto the forum after a six month break and proceed to insult everyone. If you were away having a personality transplant I'd ask for your money back if I were you.

prudence - if you actually knew me before, you would know that this is how i have always been and nothing will change me being prepared to give my opinion on this forum or anywhere else.... this is a place to share opinions and ideas and as such mine are just as valid as anyone elses...if they are unpopular then so be it...im not here to win popularity contests, and in some ways this is a really good way of weeding out the people who i least want to have any contact with....so im pleased with proceedings so far......

get off your high horse darlin....

enjoy the music..... i do..... :D

This sort of opinion? Not the nicest of things for new people registering to this forum to read is it.

got me the 16GB Creative Zen in the end, should have gone for the 32GB version, but its still awesome

Am I allowed to ask about functionality and why you chose over apple? Or would we be indulging in random off-topic chat and then you'd have to tell me off ... ... or yourself off .... ... or both of us off ... :?

... and jesting aside, I would like to understand a bit more about choices - as a mac user am I now tied into ipods/iphones or are they're other options?

i missed this but to answer your question...

I am not really a fan of I-Tunes to be honest I downloaded it and didnt like it so I wasnt too interested in being tied to using I-tunes and friends with I-pods always moaned about them crashing and freezing quite regularly so I gots me a creative

They are reasonably priced they come with great piss easy to use software the new zen is no thicker than your little finger or Craigs manhood whichever you prefer and its face the size of a credit card. The major plus I find though is the menus and just the whole userfriendlyness of it plus the sound is first class.

I dont imagine that having a mac would exclude you from running creative software and downloading your songs onto it. The Zens you can even put stuff on off your I-Tunes, I havent done this yet so you might need to run it through the software differently. Plus you can stick in a memory card and boost it up if you need to.

sold ?

You'd need to burn your purchased music to CD and re-import it as MP3 but then it would go on the Zen. If Apple hadn't brought out the Touch the credit card Zen was going to be my next purchase.
