I like to think of myself as a an easy going type who thinks the best of everyone,i make an exception for thatch,i hate the horrible s**t of a woman, always have always will, strong leader no doubt, what goods that if all her policies and beliefs are wrong ?I can't find anything to say in her favour at all,the only thing is she is not a hypocrite, she did the things she believed in,unlike this disgrace of new labour we have now,Blair, Brown etc,not a proper socialist among 'em.
Bring back Citizen Smith, come the glorious day,up against the wall, bop bop bop.

All kind of confirms what I felt to be the case if I'm honest... I mean, when Princess Di had her state funeral. I wasn't really put out because while I didn't quite think she warranted one (while I think it was tragic for her family and that, she didn't affect my life in any positive way), I'm not a royalist and would have shot of the royal family in an instant... but, most people disagreed with me... so, whatever.

With Thatch, I just don't think that is the case. But maybe I'm asking the wrong people... I doubt it though.

If we get a day off work with pay it will almost be worthwhile...

I'm buying a red suit especially for the occasion and shall probably be wearing a T shirt bought from Marx...

That's right - from Grantham... as illustrated in The Style Council's The Logders (She Was Only A Shopkeeper's Daughter).

(It's fashionable to slag off TSC's latter output but I've always liked it a lot... Confessions of a Pop Group in particular. Just really different.)

Well, needs must. Losing Labour support right, left and centre and faced with a tory leader who's looking more and more plausible as a result and is successfully shedding the "nasty party" tag. He's got to keep digging up Thatch to remind everyone just ho much orse it might be. It's a good way to get some old anti-tory blood boiling again.

Doesn't appear to have worked mind.

Throw her on the fire, it'll help cut down the rip off fuel bills I'm now paying as a result of privatisation. Fucking witch.

A little step back - could this be because there's been a bit of a backlash??

[quote="Rita"]What is wrong with Gordon Brown?

Easy one! It's because Mr Blair and Mr Brown both believe that they too are deserving of a state funeral . . . . as if!

I agree, Richard. No Prime Minister deserves a state funeral except in extreme circumstances - and none of the recent ones are worth it. It makes my blood boil just to think of it

Well if she does get a state funeral I hope that we all do the decent thing and go on strike for the day. I can't think of a clearer message to the halfwits that thought this up in the first place. Of course it won't happen 'coz half those at work today don't even know who Thatcher is. All the more reason to consign her to history without all of the pomp and ceremony.

Get the flying pickets down to Westminster Abbey...

I'll be attending the Billy Bragg gig that will most likely be arranged for the same day...
