I just bought this .......................I Know Gene was essentially a pioneer of great rock'n roll which I love..........................but his voice sounds so good on these ballads..........................

he was a GREAT singer and in my opinion the greatest of the white rockers he had a lot of deep soul in his voice and you know he MEANT it,i have seen footage of him and my Dad used to say that when he took the stage he ripped into it and after gigs he would be shaking so you know he was sincere

Rev-O-La re-released the last two Gene Vincent albums in a bargain priced two-fer earlier this year. It's called 'A Million Shades of Blue'. I think they're both classics. Well worth picking up for £8 or so on CD

Sounds good................................I always liked BE BOP A LULA......... but being on this forum has helped me learn so much more about the man.............................and his music................ 8).

yes he met him too i recall my Dad saying he jammed with him at his hotel after the gig,it was at the city hall i think
