I love the Carry Ons, too. People seem to look down their nose when I say that, I don't know why. They're still funny to this day. The 'Nurse' ones & the Camping ones are my favourites 8)

they are of their time and things have moved on but some of them are really funny, carry on girls was on over the weekend and that one always cracks me up. I guess they get repeated so often you can get a bit bored of em like RIchard says but harmless good fun all the same,

a year or so ago I was on nights and it did my fuckin head in, my only respite was getting home by 3 and sticking on a toasted cheese and a steptoe DVD washed down with a beer, means fuck all in the long run but i'd laugh my arse off and I like the fact that years later stuff like that can mean something, if that makes any sence ? no ? ok ! :BEEEER

There is nothing like a double helping of British Humour when you are homesick.........................just the ENGLISHNESS OF IT if you know what I mean................making fun of our way of life....................The carry on films are so good at that....................... :D .............they may be dated but the general plots and characters can still be found funny in todays world................and in that sense they are timeless...............

I quite agree - for me the Carry On films are a total escape from the dreariness of life in general and they always cheer me up! :D

Well............I think the same....totally.
Recently I was on holiday in France....and everybody was telling jokes, and though I can speak French I just didn't find any of it funny......my other half informed me that he wouldn't bother to translate the bits I couldn't get cos jokes don't really translate between languages......................... ( so I just sat there like a stooge...but partly relieved, at least I didn't have to make out it was funny to be poliet.............
i try and have a good laugh at least once a day..................I love all that Frank Spencer and Norman Wisdom stuff too...............
