I don't know what this thread is about but if I may say Its Raining Today is my fave Scott Walker song too, I have very fond memories of listening to that song and Scott III during a very pissed up week in Copenhagen a couple years back, :BEEEER

I saw an elsebound train, on the overpass
In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.

A torrent might be appropriate for today's rain. I have no raincoat with me or umbrella, and am waiting for train to London in my manky anorak which probably has a lot of horse snot on it (all I had in car). I'm ankle deep in rain water and its great! :D

It's stopped raining here in Victoria but at home an hour ago it was horrible - gutters blocked, pavements running with water - the British weather is unbelievable in the way it changes so much from one day to the next.

It was torrential rain when I left home and the drains on the roads can't cope - crossing them this morning was like crossing a stream........ and do the drivers slow down? Do they heck - I got soaked from head to foot twice and my clothes and boots are still wet!

Our new dog didn't want walkies in the rain this morning, he went back to his bed instead. He has access to the yard through a dog flap, he soon got the hang of it luckily. :)

I just came back from holidays in Anglesey this afternoon, and I had a welcoming rain, after a great time, is quite depressing to come back to Birmingham.

I know exactly how you feel - we returned back to cold and rain after a week in the sun and it's not stopped raining since.

AND it's back to work tomorrow, oh joy oh bliss
