Mrs LPD and self are off to Castleton for 3 nights (22nd to 25th March) staying at the Castle Hotel. Would like to say we booked it as a result of the Devil's Arse gig but to be honest we booked it before then.
However, Richard if you are passing through Castleton during our stay and would like to relive the magic of that night in December you would at least have an appreciative audience of two! Perhaps you could try out a few more of your new tracks as practice for the next festive gig?

I hope you do not mean the sweet, shy, retiring and teetotal Shedsclaire? Fortunately or unfortunately no, not this time. We are going for a bit of peace and quiet plus lots of nice ale and good food after we've clambered up and down a few hills. :D

I tell you what, you turn your back for 5 minutes, I thought I could feel my ears burning!

Steve correct me if I am wrong but is this coming from my 'almost' father in law who last time we visited was still going strong at 4am after consuming 10 bottles of wine between us, most of which you were throwing around the living room  :D

Claire, I don't think I was there that night?
I do recall on next day seeing wine all over the kitchen walls and ceiling and Mrs LPD had "pink" hair.
Anyway it was five past four when I went to bed and in my defence there was only nine bottles of wine drunk and we won't talk about the beer and gin.

I took this CD, along with some other blokey car music, up to the Lakes with my boy today.

He made a few observations:

1, After a few tracks, he piped up: "Can we have the one with Hawley's mum and aunty? That's the best"

2, They (mum and Aunty Lin) sound like Meryl Streep and Julie Walters in Mamma Mia.

3, The ladies are also doing a bit of backing on Run For Me, he reckons.....I couldn't quite tell but he may be right??

4, The intro to the first song is soooooo funny, when Mr H says 'Welcome to the Devil's Arse' to which some wag (who???) blurts out 'It's where you belong!!'

We had to play that line a few times. Well, he's only eight and arses are dead funny when you're only eight, nine, ten, eleven......forty-one, forty-two.......
