Is this the tour where he was booed on stage for going 'electric' as in the 'No Direction Home' DVD. I love that documentary.

That is such a great photo of Dylan - who won Richard?

So, Dylan at the SECC in Glasgow last night. The sound was great, given that the SECC is huge and we were waaaaay back! It was my first Dylan gig, so had no idea what to expect. No big screens, no banter between the songs save an introduction to the band just before the end, and only a slight acknowledgement that the crowd was actually present! But, we can forgive him as the gig was fantastic.

Sean (beloved) is off tonight to see him again at the Edinburgh Playhouse - a more intimate gig, so I shall be interested to see how he compares it to the SECC.

This is one Dylan gig that I wish I'd been at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8s644Yce0E0 and with Mick Ronson on guitar too - it must have been amazing.

Does anyone know if Hard Rain is available on DVD, or do I have to make do with good old youtube?

I saw him in Liverpool last Friday but I was majorly disappointed to be honest. Too much MOTR 12 bar stuff, presumably off his new album, and so many great songs missing.. he just seemed a bit bored to me. Plus he finished his set at 9:15.

Yeh it was probably a highlight of the show, but when you're leaving out hurricane, tangled up in blue, tambourine man, positively 4th street, forever young, knockin on heavens door etc, it seems a bit daft, i'd sooner hear one of his own classics personally. The atmos there was more like people were out on the lash, and Dylan just happened to be playing in there. The amount of people chatting right through the show was unreal. I do kinda wish I hadn't bothered.

well the other songs could've shown up in the set but he hasnt played Hurricane live for 35 years! mind you, i'd never rule it out... he pulled out Billy from the pat garrett soundtrack (never performed live since it was written in 1973) earlier in the tour.
