2 words - PET PLAN

i know its insurance and I HATE insurance but they have saved me a fortune with my cats!

at the moment they have just paid out £500 for a behaviourist to come up and stop mine from pissing everywhere.

(and its working too...)

My Mum's cat got put on 'Prescription Diet' food. Which made us assume you could only get it from the vet. Then we I discovered that that's just a brand name & you can get it 'over the counter' - we use Viovet too, very good. Did you know that pets now have patient confidentiality these days? My dad once asked me to enquire after the cat, after an operation, as he was hard of hearing & couldn't hear on the phone (Dad, not the cat :D ). I rang, explaining who I was but they wouldn't tell me anything, as I wasn't the owner

Alf's happy again! His new haircut (if a little see through) blends the rest of his fur into his shaved, but now much better, leg! He is NOT quite so happy that the cats no longer recognise him and hiss at him every time he walks in the room like he's a pantomime baddy!

PET INSURANCE - Alf is actually insured so I will get most of his vets fees back but the cat is not. When I acquired two seven year old siamese cats with no medical history they wanted £50 a month to insure them! £50!!
They have cost me a fortune since but I also reckon pet insurance has pushed up the cost of veterinary treatment a lot. OK if you have it but a fortune to pay if you haven't.

They are both on the mend though so I don't care really. It's only money!
