I love it too, just starts too early and it's worrying people get into debt for it, it's going the wrong way :( don't get me wrong, I'll be up at 6am cos I'm so excited :D

Absolutely agree. I hate the commercialism and overall loss of meaning and true sentiment of Christmas, but love spending the day itself with my whole (extended) family around me

Are you sure that's not your mixed bhaji starter?

I get a calendar from the Chinese chippy with a Mandarin message that I presume translates as 'Ere you go, yer fat fucker - Happy New Year.'

Haven't sent any Christmas cards yet, but must admit I have started to make lists. There was a commercial for the new Sting Christmas album, a certain sign, but it's not Christmas before there's snow

Ooooh crikey.....we'll be waiting a while round these parts. It did snow on Christmas Day in Liverpool about four years ago though - the first time I can remember.

He won't be, he'll have Bob there on repeat. Mel, Dave is happy really, he just likes to be miserable. Have you listened to his music, if not pop on his My Space as it is very good.

Reminds me of the time when Mrs LPD answered the door to "another time-waster" (a Greek looking Gentleman) and in full seasonal spirit she shouted "WHAT!!??"
To her utter surprise, he handed her a bottle of wine and wished her a "Merry Christmas from the Kebab House". Turns out my sons where such good customers he had made a special delivery to present the wine to a very frosty (and subsequently embarrassed) Mrs LPD!
