At the risk of sounding like Eric Clapton, the guitarists I like best are the ones who hold back a bit and pick out the right note, as opposed to playing as many as possible. Jimi Hendrix is amazing though.

Luther Perkins is my favourite.

Just came across this on youtube and thought it was great. Its brian setzer doing an old jazz standard. A nightingale sang in berkley square. Great singing as well as beautiful guitar playing.Enjoy
