i have loads of his fantastic music,one of the most influential post war musicians,incredible sound,i wasn't allowed to play my Dad's original albums so he bought me this one which is beautiful.I love all those Ace records releases

this is one of my faves along with that weird series on musidisc records from years ago.

this is the slickest he ever sounded (chess records) but it's great material. i think sky is crying is from these sessions, but this also has the added treat of little walter on the john brim tracks, most of which are ace. especially ice cream man.

and i couldn't resist this, a bit ott with alternate takes but sounds great, and lists earl palmer on a couple of sessions
