Stunned silence all round. Anyone want to join me and do as the Frenchies do? A few hundred wheelie bins set alight and shoved in the general direction of Osborne and Nick Clegg should do the trick...

Being of a certain age - I reckon some of my old mates in the public sector would welcome a lay off - having done 35+ years and being in mid / late 50's.

The talk is of saving money but a stack wil be spent getting rid of folks in that situation.

Where as my niece is in her early 30's with a young family - a public sector worker - and redundnacy for her would be a crippler...

November the 5th isn't far away - maybe I'll go and do 'penny for the george' outside the pubs of Rainow.

This may well be true - I heard that George Osbornes local in Rainow is called The Robin Hood - shurely shome mistake?

If Vodafone didn't have their £6bn in overdue taxes written off there'd be hardly any need for cuts. and that's just the start of it.

How can George Osborne cancel a 6billion Tax bill? Whats the reasoning behind that? Can't get my head around that one, and the article gave no explanation.

just heard on the news they are cutting loads of money that goes to help the elderly in their homes. In England alone this will affect around 250,000 elderly people........... .......so what exactly did a lot of them fight a war for and what exactly has a lifetime of paying taxes got them?It beggars belief it really does,in ANY civilised country the first to be cared for are the sick, elderly and the young...........so.......we've now got cuts in the NHS,home help and social services for the elderly and cuts to schools and child care...........does this mean we are now no longer a civilised country?

I hate Clegg and Cameron a little more with every passing day.....i believe what they are doing is totally unconstitutional and totally un-British........i mean its not cricket is it to do these awful things?where exactly will all our hard earned taxes go then if not for services to ease the lives of those far less fortunate than ourselves?Isn't that basic care something that is actually a RIGHT?A human right in our society?I actually feel physically sick after hearing this.......an utter and total lack of understanding of how our country should be.......a beacon in the dark........and a frightening lack of humanity..............C***s are indeed.............still running the world
