Just seen your post. Difficult to know what to say, except keep positive. Treatment can be harsh and very difficult not just for the patient, but those around them who have to see the effects. Macmillan are excellent in giving support and advice:- i'm sure there are plenty of people here who sincerely wish you all the best and will be thinking of you and your family. My best wishes.
xx

my mum has had breast cancer twice (she's still here luckily) so i know what you're going through.
the best thing you can do is to be strong and stay positive as everyone says- dont let it get you down-

thoughts are with you mate :)

only just read this too pal,
Hope things get better, my grandad suffered from throat and bowel cancer for years, he battled through it and had loads of operations. treatment etc, he had to have his voicebox removed and had to have on of them where you have to hold your neck to talk, they said it would be ages before he was talking again and he did it within weeks. he really battled through both lots of cancer when we all thought he wouldn't make it.
There's plenty of hope for you & the missus. as everyone else says, keep strong & positive.
