You're on. Current tender though, none of your white fivers when you try to pay up.

Dean Saunders got loads of praise when he waswas Mark Hughes's assistant for Blackburn,Citeh and Fulham. He's got loads of experience and has done great at Wrexham.Shame for O'Driscoll, but a very good replacement.

Unproven and his record as a manager isn't anything great. Don't have a problem with Saunders as such though, just pissed off they've sacked a perfectly good manager who will most likely go on and do great things elsewhere now.

He had five years to get you to the bottom of the league.

5 years to get us into and established in the Championship. Then 6 months with a crippling injury list that any club in the World would struggle to deal with and no support to deal with it.

Had somehow missed O'Driscoll's "gardening leave" - what if he doesn't like gardening? O'Driscoll was flavour of the month no time ago and I think he'll have a new job soon enough, he's done a good job before now. Saunders is unproven but a win in his first game can't be bad, mind Johnny Oster as the saviour tells its own story - how old is he now? Does he still do everything right until it comes to the final ball? Just watching the feature before the highlights now. Getting Sharp back is a bonus and with pieman Parkin it should improve. Mind that young laddie shouting Deano on the telly looks like he got to the pies first

Oster has good days and average ones, big slice of luck with the goal too but we're overdue some. With a fully fit team i still reckon we'll be alright, we just haven't had anything like that for about 10 months. Getting somewhere near now, play offs are back on!

Good footballer, unpleasant person. I'd recommend you purchase a Souwester (sp?) if he does arrive...

I am excessively glum after last night's debacle at Norwich. Fortunately I was doing a talk in the evening so couldn't watch the match but feel down. Wasn't pleased we got Bruce as manager in the first place BUT thought he was what we needed as he's usually done well in difficult circumstances and made his teams hard to beat. Still want him to do well but feel like his ideas are fast fading and am genuinely concerned that Sunderland will spend the season at the wrong end of the table. Having ended the last two seasons poorly I'm hoping we're getting the poor run out of the way now....

I doubt we could afford Diouf for anything longer than the short term, and if he knocks a few in he'd soon be off to the next payday. Potentially good player, though not sure the kind of character we'd want.

Didn't see the match but report read like Sunderland were pretty terrible. Any truth in the rumours Quinn could be jumping ship for City?
