I daresay I'm not the only one who's noticed that the website homepage is no longer showing the Truelove's Gutter artwork. I am now getting that feeling of great anticipation you get when you're on the station platform when all the trains have been delayed, then the information board starts to flick round, and suddenly....There's a train approaching!
It has been so awfully quiet 8)

I saw an elsebound train, on the overpass
In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.

Funny, that's what the boss always says :alien: Perhaps it was a loose screw somewhere...

I've had the first record on the car CD for about three months - played twice a day - maybe it's time to move on...

to Late Night Final.

It's nearly two years since Truelove's Gutter, doesn't time fly. I flew back from a trip to Italy, landed at Liverpool and was back the next day to see Richard Hawley at the Philharmonic Hall.

Martin Simpson posted today on Twitter that he'd been recording with RH for RH's new album - "Big fun" were Martin's words :)

I tweeted Martin to ask if RH is taking a folkier direction (it would make sense - False Lights EP/Waterson Carthy links)... but have had no reply from him - yet.

Had a reply - it was an enigmatic "no........" !!

The original Tweet by Martin was thus -

"Just spent the day working on Richard Hawley's next album. Big Fun!"

It must be great calling on folks - getting that vibe going - having a plan - dropping the plan - picking it up again - I'm rambling...
