Owlstalk's gone into meltdown and the server can't handle it, Owlsonline says Website Disabled and FB has gone crazy. I've not seen one positive comment on Megsons sacking and Manderic has probably just made the understatement of the decade by saying "I fully understand this may not be the most popular decision amongst our supporters......"

Yeah i heard the news break on radio sheffield then listened to the phone in....gutted......even when things are looking good someone manages to destroy what good has been done. So who is gonna takeover and presumably have the talent to win every single game......but I guess if they lose at Rochdale they might get the sack. Ridiculous.......

Always likely to happen when you have a power obsessed, egotistical nutter as owner of a football club. We had the daddy of them all at OUFC in Bob Maxwell, followed by "let me take you on a journey" Firoz Kassam, who almost took us on a journey into oblivion. Best of luck Owls fans.

I have calmed down a bit now. I feel it is a strange decision and I am so sorry Megson has gone. Things were obviously going on behind the scenes. So.....we will see. But, as ever, Wednesday til I die.

Well whats done is done and we have to get on and back Dave Jones - after all its not his fault. Milan has clearly said the decision was made after the Chesterfield game by which time we had won 2 out of 10 games, and he could not afford to let that continue and therefore needed to change direction as he put it.....lets just hope for a good run till the end of the season now!

I feel for Gary Megson i think he's a good guy,we were so close to having something like a permanent manager and a chance of actually achieving something.....lets see what happens now i just hope this doesn't demotivate the players.....

I am worried about the players being demotivated too - particularly the way they celebrated with Gary at the end on Sunday. Or maybe they knew.....and that's why they reacted the way they did.

Oh no - were you there? Radio coverage made it sound very uninspiring. It will be such a shame if things go downhill from now on. Damn......
