My Holmfirth ticket arrived - I found it crumpled up inside the letter box yesterday in a tiny brown envelope; it could have been there forever!

Same here - luckily it was crumpled up inside the letter box - had it fallen through the dogs would have probably scoffed the lot - as it was the enevelope seal down one side was non existent so you look inside and see the tickets - either I have a really honest postie or the postie doesn't like Richard

Mine came today - no problems with dodgy envelopes or such like. All good.

My envelope was white too. Do you think we should get out more? Or maybe we shouldn't be allowed out :*:

I was thinking the folks in Yorkshire got the pristine white envelpoes and everyone one else the austerity shade of brown - but not so...

I think we should pick up on Lofty's idea and have an enevelope thread - or at least a discussion on postmarks and stamps - or maybe we shouldn't be allowed out.

Would it be OK to post a pic of an old Midland Red bus at this point?

Image

Hereford Bus Station in the 60s - most of it still in place today - any other City would have a block of flats or a Tesco Express built on it by now.

Mine came yesterday too although the envelope was slightly charred.

They were hand-delivered by an Olympic Torch bearer who had taken a special diversion - followed by every member of all the Olyimpics Teams - just say that "In 2012 we took part in the Olympics and met LPD and gave him his Holmfirth tickets"!

How great is that? Not even Hawley gets that treatment. :D

Mind, the neighbours weren't happy when the cul-de-sac we live in was blocked ............

My envelope didn't actually come in the post. Santa Claus brought it. In a vintage Bentley :santa: :*: And trains are really interesting.....
