Just got home after dropping Boltonlass off. What a fab evening! Guitar porn at its best!
A fantastic mix of old and new. For Your Lover was the most moving version I have heard. The new songs make so much sense played live, and blended beautifully and seamlessly with the old. Richard was on form and received a warm and appreciative welcome and a standing ovation. Different to see Colin strutting his stuff without his big bass too. Well done lads. Well worth the 200 miles round trip and well worth a two year wait ..... Not so long next time please? Nice to catch up with everyone again too. Looking forward to Holmfirth. :Hoorah

That was rather good, only minus was not getting to hear She Brings The Sunlight as was really looking forward to hearing that live. Rest was top bombing though apart from the unfortunate stain on Hawley's amp. Nice to meet new folk and old folk too.

Brilliant gig last night. If that was a warm up gig,we're all in for a treat when they've polished that set come September. All the band were on top form,as usual.Hearing the new stuff live for the first time, you really notice the sounds and effects coming from John Trier's keyboards....big up that man.
Great to see everyone from here again and for the first time.Top night.
We took the scenic route home via Beverley and the Land of Nod (twinned with Barnsley).

Great gig last night! It was brilliant to hear the new tracks, plus many from TG. Enjoyed hearing Tonight The Streets... for the first time in a while, too.
It was a lovely little venue and the sound was amazing on the slower songs.
Thanks to Jan H and good to meet Little Dickie and Maggie for the first time. Nice to see Chumley and Craig too. Roll on September. :Hoorah

Remember when he did that diary thing for the Ladys Bridge tour, that was good, got to know how it was going and some funny stories from when he was in America etc...

Just got back and I am still recovering from that fantastic Gig. An absolutely superb spine-tinglingly fabulous evening! For me, 'Standing at the Sky's Edge' was amazing along with 'Down to the Woods'. Absolutely adored 'Don't Stare at the Sun' and it was interesting to hear RH talk about his new songs. Good to hear some of the oldies too but, fantastic as they are, the new ones are even better! We travelled up from London and got horribly stuck in motorway traffic so the journey ended up taking 5 hours, got to York where we had booked hotel and all the traffic was diverted - panic was beginning to set in - abandoned car streets away from hotel, quickest check-in in history - ran back to car, eventually finding a way out of York due mainly, to Paul's great sense of direction and not my navigating!!! Had planned a meal before gig, but made do with a quick alcoholic beverage and a packet of crisps in the pub next door to Pocklington Arts Centre. What a splendid venue - felt very intimate, great view, great crowd, sound was fantasic. Thought RH looked very happy and the guys in the band did him proud, as always! Brilliant Gig, best ever - if you can get to see him, don't hesitate, you certainly won't be disappointed! Always leave his gigs feeling slightly intoxicated - as if I have been taken to a higher level - sometimes there are no words to describe that feeling, but that is the sign of brilliant music - to leave us with that indescribable warm feeling inside which I am now desperately trying to hang onto on this miserable, cold, grey day down South, but the thought of next Friday's gig at the Forum is keeping my spirits up. It was a masterpiece of an evening!
