Hello,
So sorry to hear that, I can imagine that going from one city to another for gigs is not the best way to rest and take care of your leg... I have sprained my ankle as well last week playing tennis and I have been since very anxious not to be able to make it to your gig in Paris... But I won't let you down
and I will be there on Wednesday, on one ankle or two, but definitely without crutches as it would not be very convenient to applaud (don't want to hurt anyone) ... So let me know if you want me to leave these crutches for you at Les Bouffes du Nord's reception desk
I think we all know that you will do your best to play anyway ; I remember two years ago I was just about to leave for your gig in Lyon (the Roman theater) when I read your post saying that you had caught an evil bronchitis... Well the set has been shortened that time, but as ill as you were you stood and play on that stage anyway, and I thank you for that, and for that beautiful June night.
So I'm not too worried for tomorrow's gig in Paris, it's ok if it shortened or if there is a chair on the stage
, I just really hope that this gig and the next ones will not be too painful for you and that you will soon recover. And no matter what, bronchitis or marble staircase, I will try again in October at La Cigale...
Take care et bon courage.
