Luckily I recorded it last night... unfortunately we were sat watching that shite football match on BBC1 - missed a good George Clooney film too ! I was hoping it'd be good, it was made by Adam from Adam & Joe wasn't it ? hope to catch it at the weekend , my daughter wants to watch too.. is it OK for a nearly 15 yr old? :?:

There's swearing and some horror scenes depends on your outlook, the yoofs who acted brilliantly in the film are from about 8-15 years old....I'd let my 12 year old watch it he hears worse at school although there aren't as many huge ape/bear like murderous aliens with savage fluorescent teeth in class

Taped this too. My 12 year old wants to see it too. Might be an education for him as I try not to swear in front of them – which just makes me really foul mouthed at work and on here.x

Maybe you should watch some of it first if your worried,in our house there's a fair bit of swearing but I just teach them context, there's a time and a place etc my folks NEVER swore so I'm a bit different.

... hmmm sounds like some of the kids that go to our local ...

she can definitely watch it with us then, we let her watch Top Boy earlier in the year which was really good - and obviously a foul word never crosses my lips...

I somehow always associate it with Mike Harding when he had a regular show on the telly in the eighties and haven't heard it in donkeys years - probably my southern isolation

I recorded this but only got 20 minutes into it before i had to turn it off, damned if i could understand a word they were saying.

I see enough of hoodies and chavs in real life anyway.

I might of missed the jist of it?

The yoof of today

It is one of those perfect words, words you cannot use to anyone under 30 or from another country because they will not know what you mean. Mild expletives that you can say to your granny and she won't be offended but still brilliantly articulate. We should get up a list of them – I would add berk, pillock, minging and scrubber as some of my personal favourites. x

Numpty is one of my favourites. And Silly Arse is my oft overused phrase. My mother never ever swears, but I can remember to this day the first (and only) time my dad said the f-word - I was so shocked! But then he was a guards sergeant major, and must have all the swear words under the sun.
