I, concur, what a great night. My friend (first time seeing Richard) was blown away.
One of the many highlights for me was Soldier On, amazing.
Met up with an old friend who actually first got me into Richard's music many years ago
and for that i am very greatful.

"This is a quiet one, if you talk through it that would be fantastic"
Ensured that 'soldier on' was fabulous.
Richard kept the muppets quiet all night, it really made a difference.
Wonderful show.
Ta very much! :Hoorah

Great show as always, my niece was blown away, she's never really listened to 'proper' music before but I think I've converted her.. she's wearing her Hawley pin badge with bride on her school blazer this morning apparently :*: 8) Particularly good rendition of the encore last night I thought. The set seems to be full of stand outs at the moment! Sometimes I wonder if Hawley is chanelling God through his fingers with some of his playing!

Also wanted to mention, I came out of the venue last night to find my car had a flat tyre, which some kind bloke luckily pointed out to me before I got out of the car park, and another couple also offered to help me with. Tyre changed, I then went to start the car, but in my excitement to get into the venue, I'd left the lights on, so also had a flat battery! Three blokes then helped me to push start the car and got it going. Just wanted to express my deepest thanks and appreciation just in case any of the above are hawleyboarders, you all really got me out of a jam! Explaining to my brother why I kept his 12 year old daughter out til 1am was a bit more of a challenge!!

Just wanted to say thanks Richard from all those at the Manchester Academy last night.
Your set was a wonderful mix of new and not-so new, and I hope you felt the appreciation
from us all! The Ocean is such a great track to end the show.

And my final offering.....Open Up Your Door...

And you are so right Richard about the backstage crew that make it all happen....rest assured that we all appreciate their efforts as much as we do yours, becuase without them, we would not be seeing you!

See you down at Hillsborough again soon.....

Ian

Too right...Lisa was awesome! The last twice she has played Manchester I have missed her because I already had tickets for other gigs the same night...thought I was never gonna see her...so it was a real double bill for me. Total quality entertainment!!
