Surprised I couldn't find a topic on her.

Got into her the other week via a cover of Nick Lowe. I think she's sensational. Great voice, smart lyrics - the kind of person who makes you wish you wrote all their songs. Definitely going to stick a few in my set.

And I think she's a Hawley fan.

she is an amazing talent, caught her supporting Deer Tick in Whelan's last year and bought bo ther her EP and album straight after. She was really nice too as it goes. So looking forward to her next release. BTW have that Nick Lowe cover too and its great as is the rest of that tribute shindig.

In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.

Goin mad I missed the boat. My mate was goin on about her a year or two ago and I didn't bother chasing it up. Hopefully she'll get something out soon. She even likes Serge Gainsbourg. I think I might just get a plane to Nashville and be done with it.

Well if you're into this sort of thing and want to bring yourselves up to date, its worth checking out the following (both only just out).

Steelism Caitlin's guitarist and pedal steel player doing instrumentals. Their recent Youtube clips are great.

Andrew Combs Steelism play on his album. Caitlin does some b/w's.

She played Kilkenny Rhythm & Roots a couple of years ago - she played a couple of extra shows too, to fill in for a no-show. This was taken in the back room of the Clubhouse Hotel by yours truly;

And here's video from the same gig

Flight to Gatwick €70.

Ticket for Brighton gig £10!

Haven't travelled for a gig in almost 2 years.
