Check out this place. It opened here in Dublin about a year ago and is easliy the best guitar shop in Ireland. It is run by a guy named owen who is very knowledgable about all things guitar related and is also a really decent bloke. If any Hawley fans are around Dublin, check out his shop. He always has really interesting stuff. Here is a link to his website.

Conveniently the nearest one to my house as well. Done me a few good deals on valves. (€10 for a rectifier just cos I had to wait a few hours for him to dig one out once.)

The bad thing about that shop is I have to go down that way to sign on and there's always some beauty in the window for about 3 grand!

I know what you mean about the window. Last week he a lovely collection of hamony guitars from the sixties in the window. Beautiful guitars. The week before he had a 335, a 345 , and a beautiful cherry 355 in the window. Absolutely beautiful guitars. He is a really decent bloke too. I bought a gretsch off him last year which was giving trouble and he got me another exactly the same to replace it. He was a pleasure to deal with. If anyone is considering a guitar purchase I highly recommend this place

Hi Richard. Carl here from Dublin. Check out this shop in Dublin if you get a chance on monday. I know you will probably be very busy sound checking etc. But if you get a chance check it out. The bloke who owns it is a top bloke and very decent

Really sound guy. Refused me a sale of 80 quids worth of valves as he reckoned I had some other problem, and he was right. Saved me a lot of money I didn't have.

Lovely to meet you today Richard. You and the lads put on a great show last night. Amazing gig. I thought the roof was going to come off vicar street during down at the woods. Don't know weather you noticed the red telecaster in the window with the bigsby. I'm thinking of taking the plunge. What do you reckon? Its a japanese one. The pickups aren't the best but that can be easily sorted. Its a pity you hadn't more time.Would have loved to have a proper chat but I know you were under pressure for time. Please come back again soon. Thanks again for a great night.Carl

I Was in there today Carl and put a hard earned downpayment on a beautiful Gretsch Power Jet. My first Gretsch. Some beautiful guitars in there. Not least a Gibson L4 and a Gretsch Country Gent.

Great to finally meet you Alan. It's fantastic to get to talk to another Hawley fan. I bought one of these from Owen last week. Its stunning. I absolutely chuffed with it. It's a gibson southern jumbo. Just like a gibson j45 with a bit more bling.http://www.gak.co.uk/en/gibson-southern ... urst/71400. Enjoy the cd by way. Very well recorded. Love the watercolour on the cover.

Oh nice one. Thanks for the compliments, we recorded it on a shoestring and did all the design ourselves. I'll let you know of any upcoming gigs.
