And grace is just the measure of a fall.

Albert Hall is a great venue but because of where the bars are you get lots of people talking which really hacks me off, that and the selfie brigade spoil gigs these days IMO

Wish Richard would stick to seated venues, although I prefer to stand I find that seated venues discourage those that want to discuss spreadsheets ( I kid you not!) from imparting their valuable knowledge to everyone who really wishes they'd f*ck off home.

How exciting. :-) Ugh, so frustrated I can't come over and join the festivities! But don't think I didn't check on airfares just now, because I am into self-punishment. But will be looking forward to all of your gig reports, you lucky things! <*>

I understand exactly, though as Manchester is on a Monday you may find people are there for the music rather than just a night out somewhere.

Problem with seated gigs is they are often at the other end of the spectrum and lacking in atmosphere.. people who cant sit still for 5 mins with bladder control issues having people get up to let them out and the serial bar visitors... always too quiet for my liking when you start wondering if those random sounds are somone doing their knitting or boiled sweets hitting off denchers.. either way always better a venue that has both so everyone has the option..

Well done e-botti, that was the first venue I ever saw Richard and the magic of that night I will never forget.

Just bought a seat ticket for Bristol Colston Hall. Doesn't get much better than this.
