I think it is all very lovely that the two of you have got together. And I hope you will be very happy in your new job and in Sheffield, Maggie. X

Well, I've been there (actually not to Roscommon) but work trips, hotels bars, alone tedium and some.. some places are ok if they are near a town or major city that you can get to after work for a wander and a bit to eat and a beer around some actual forms of human life.... however stuck in a 3 Star hotel in Shannon town on your own.. I'm willing to bet that is more tedious then Roscommon, actually that's more tedious then anywhere actually. Last time I was only short of asking the night porter if anyone had left any out of date medicine in the lost and found and would he sell me a whole bottle of brandy.. I guessed he probably wouldn't so I signed up to Netflix instead...

I saw an elsebound train, on the overpass
In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.

Slightly (only just) better tonight, I'm in Cavan, bit more atmosphere......business travel isn't a jolly
away from the office.....rest assured!

Guys, I don't know if I can make it through another election here, which one of you is coming to get me and can I crash on your floor until it's all over and maybe forever if it all goes sideways? Great thanks, I'll be waiting for you out front, you'll see me, I'll wave :|

But no, really

Help

I just made my own baked beans... delicious. No doubt, living in a house with three boys, we'll be reliving the moment for a couple of days but, as my son said, "bear nice". x

Repeating the phrase "Not my circus, not my monkeys" ad infinitum as I help mom-in-law with last-minute Christmas duties. :) With a genuine smile on my face because I love Christmas and I love her and I love to help. Buuuuuuuuut. She can be a perfectionist on occasion aaaaaaand that is happening RIGHT NOW. I just spiked my egg nog. That should help.

So Jerry, what attracted you to the billionaire news mogul Rupert Murdoch... Evil bastard, like a tortoise without a shell. Ask the families of the 96 if they wish him well. Nasty. X

With any luck she'll kill him off.

Look on the bright side Helen ...you're optimistic about February
:D
I haven't drawn breath without sounding like broken bagpipes. For around 7 weeks now so hope January keeps my wheezing.

Hope these last few days bring you more cheer

Sorry to hear that chick. I am trying to cure my woes with gin and it is working. The sun is out today. And it's pay day tomorrow... and I'm off on holiday in two weeks... now January if fucking off, life's not so shite after all.

Keep taking the tablets, lovely. x

A holiday should do the trick and the gin willget you to there. Had a chest x-ray today as the cocktail of inhalers antibiotics and steroids haven't worked.
