I love that place. We are back there for three weeks in the summer, in the camper. Now the kids are older, you need to take them to Pedn Vounder, which is the next cove around – a bit of a hairy path down to it but it's worth it, stunning and doggie friendly. This is a photo I took last year, which shows you the shift in the weather.

In the middle of the afternoon, in the summer holidays. There is a house for sale just above the cliff... too, too, too tempting... xxxx

Holiday observations 1.
Up in the lakes for half term and drove here on the A1, not my usual route to northern climes but needs must. Services a bit unusual as I passed three - one of them near Sheffield - service stations with adult shops attached. But of a difference from your usual fare - a tank full of petrol, bag of Werthers Originals, cheesy wotsits and a dildo to go please. How very odd. The Little Chef and Wimpy now have a totally new meaning to me...

Holiday observation 2
It's nice being on your own, up on High Crag at 9 o'clock this morning, when the grass is still crunchy with frost and the world is still asleep.

Just had 5 days in Iceland, what a wonderful place. Two bowls of soup and a lager £23  Fancy Norway next....anyone been? Any ideas? I quite like the idea of driving up the coast for a few days. Appreciate any info please. Thanks. :thumright:

Been a couple of times with work, 1st time was a couple of hours down the East Coast from Oslo,
which I thought was stunning, but before I could say anything the driver apologised for being on
the boring coast!

The other occasion was around the Stavanger area so haven't done the fjords etc.

It's not much cheaper by the way!

My sister works there, you learn to live without alcohol but when she visits me she more than makes up for it.

Went to a lovely house, overlooking the sea in Plymouth for a week. Who knew Plymouth was such a nice place (no insult to Plymouthodians).

Went for lots of lovely walks and currently cooking up a plan to walk parts of the south west coastal path with the boys in the summer. We did six miles of it one afternoon and it was gorgeous. Like a walk, me. xxxx
