Richard's solidatory with the steel workers also seems to have been appreciated. ..>

Really enjoyed last night in Manchester. We nearly didn't get there as the car battery was flat. Luckily we were setting off in plenty of time and my brother in law arrived with jump leads to get the car going.

What a coincidence, my crack research team and I are working on a formula right now that should reveal what amount of hairspray can be used on top of a quiff to hold it in place under a hat. We'd have had the results by now, but our Dow Chemical funding fell through. I'll get at you when we publish the real world trial results. There's a fine line between pressure resistance and complete structural failure, as we know, but we are confident we will find a solution. Between now and then, perhaps a fine yet affordable ladies' scarf, in some flattering floral pattern? Secured with those old-school metal clips, just to bring up the whole look a notch. Practicality and style can go hand-in-hand; don't let anybody tell you different.

I've never really understood the point of gig reviews. They put me in mind of the "Here's what you could have won" moments on Bullseye... :*:

The manchester gig on wednesday was superb, my wife and i enjoyed the gig just as much as we did the first time we saw them play at sheffield city hall in 2006.

On a slightly "left of stage" matter I can't help notice that Richard's stage attire this tour is somethng of a "Jean fest". Just wondered how many sets of jackets and trousers were taken on tour or is it just the one like a true rock n' roll star?

I've moaned and groaned at the lack of Welsh dates on the tour schedules but tonight in Cardiff made up for it. Swansea (and Brecon) can be forgiven I hope.

Great gig :Hoorah

Superb show last night in Cardiff, a brilliant end to a wonderful tour.
Huge thanks again to all involved, you've made an awful lot of people very happy.
Enjoy a well deserved rest.
